Cecilia Moreno-Yaghoubi’s latest installation series, “Black and White,” taps into the mixed media artist’s sense of nostalgia. Using a clothes line mounted with dated, worn dresses, and pinned with old black and white photos and antique dolls, Cecilia evokes a sense of longing for the forgotten. It’s a world of fantasy and dream but also bitter reality, where the deterioration of things and the body remind viewers of the fragility of the human existence. Through her work, Cecilia exhibits objects that were once considered old, transforming them and giving them life again.
